Industrial slabs live a hard life. A warehouse floor has to carry point loads from racking legs and the constant traffic of loaded forklifts without cracking or going out of level; a hardstand has to take heavy trucks, plant and containers parked on it in all weather. That comes down to the engineering — the right slab thickness, the right reinforcement (mesh, bar or steel-fibre as specified), a properly prepared and compacted sub-base, and joints designed and placed to control cracking under heavy use.

We pour to the structural engineer's design rather than guessing, and we get the finish right for the application — whether that's a flat, hard-wearing trowelled floor for a warehouse, a textured non-slip surface for a ramp, or a durable broom finish for an external hardstand. Where flatness tolerances matter for racking or equipment, we pour and finish to suit.

Tilt-panel (tilt-up) construction is a fast, cost-effective and strong way to build commercial and industrial walls — warehouses, sheds, factories and retail buildings right across CQ are built this way. Panels are cast flat on site, usually on the building's own slab or a dedicated casting bed, then craned up into position and braced. Done well it's quick and the result is a solid, durable, low-maintenance wall.

It also has to be done precisely. The casting bed has to be true, the panels reinforced and cast to the engineer's design, and the lifting points and bracing right so the lift goes safely and the panels land plumb. We handle the concrete side of tilt-panel work and coordinate closely with the builder, crane crew and engineer so the casting and lift run to program.

On a commercial job the concrete has to meet two masters: the engineer's specification and your business operations. We build to the drawings and to Australian Standards, and we document what's needed — but we also plan the work so it disrupts your trading as little as possible. That can mean staging the pour so part of a yard or floor stays usable, working to a tight program around your deliveries, or scheduling around your operating hours to keep the site running.
