Our Process — From Quote to Clean-Up

• → Site visit and assessment — we inspect the slab, measure the area, check the surface for cracks, oil contamination, old coatings and pitting, and look at how the floor will be used so we can spec the right system.
• → Moisture check — we assess the slab for moisture coming up from the ground, because moisture is the number-one cause of epoxy failure in our climate; if needed we recommend a moisture-tolerant primer or system.
• → Written fixed quote — you get an itemised quote covering grinding, crack and joint repair, the coating system (solid colour, flake or high-build), number of coats and any anti-slip additive.
• → Booking and scheduling — we lock in dates and give you a clear timeline, including how long the space needs to be clear of vehicles and gear.
• → Diamond grinding — we mechanically grind the slab with diamond tooling to remove old coatings and laitance and open the concrete to a proper profile, which is what lets the epoxy key in and bond.
• → Crack and divot repair — cracks, joints and surface damage are filled and repaired so the finished floor is smooth and the coating isn't bridging a weak spot.
• → Priming and base coat — we apply the primer and base coat to the prepared slab, allowing the correct cure time before building up the system.
• → Flake or colour and topcoat — for flake floors we broadcast the vinyl chips into the base, then scrape and recoat; solid-colour floors get their build coats; finally a clear or coloured topcoat seals it all in, with anti-slip additive mixed in where needed.
• → Cure time — the floor is left to cure properly before use; we'll tell you when you can walk on it and when it's ready to take the weight of a vehicle, and polyaspartic systems get you back in service sooner.
• → Final clean-up — we remove masking, vacuum and tidy the space, take our grinding dust, waste and equipment with us, and hand back a clean, sealed floor with care instructions.
